My purpose My love My soul Death knocks on my door, I want to answer, but every time I reach for the handle -- the promise I made her brings me back. So I breathe. I live. I hate. And I allow the anger to oil beneath the surface of a perfectly indifferent facade. I am broken, I don't want to be fixed. But the Empire is crumbling and it's my job to fix it. My job to mend the pieces that were scattered over thirty years ago. A trip to New York, only one chance to redeem a lost part of our mafia family. The only issue is, the only way to fix it, is to do something I swore I'd never do again. An arranged marriage. Only this time. I won't fall. Or so help me God, I will kill her myself. My name is Sergio Abandonoto, you think you know my pain, my suffering, my anger, my hate? You have no idea. I am the mafia. I am the darkness. Blood in. No out.

EXCERPT

Sergio looked ready to strangle me. “No. I don’t believe I asked for an annoying little sister, but if that’s what you’re offering, please don’t let me stop you. Just know, I won’t hesitate to put you over my knee if you get out of hand.” The minute the words left his mouth. I froze. He froze. The taxi driver stared little laser like holes into the rearview mirror. And Sergio leaned toward me. I swallowed as tension swirled around us. He gripped me by the chin and turned my head to the side, his lips brushing my ear. “It’s like you have a death wish.” “You wouldn’t do it.” He pulled back as both of his eyebrows shot up, and then he looked down, like he had spotted something. I followed the direction of his gaze and let out a little gasp as a gun dug into my stomach. “It’s been directed at you for the last four minutes,” Sergio said through a practiced smile. “I meant what I said. Listen well. I keep my word. Kiss me, and blood will be spilled.” “Y-you’re a crazy person!” I hissed, shoving at his chest. “And I wasn’t going to kiss you!” “Sure you weren’t.” He put the gun away. “Good talk though, right? Oh look, the movie theater.” To say that I scrambled out of the car like a kid running away from her kidnapper would be a gross understatement, but the minute my feet hit the pavement, I paused. My body told me to run. The guy had pulled a gun. On me. I didn’t even watch violent movies.

elude Twenty-Four hours before were were to be married--I offered to shoot her. Ten hours before our wedding--I made a mockery of her dying wish. Five hours before we were going to say our vows--I promised I'd never love her. One hour before I said I do--I vowed I'd never shed a tear over her death. But the minute we were pronounced man and wife--I knew. I'd only use my gun to protect her. I'd give my life for hers. I'd cry. And I would, most definitely, lose my heart, to a dying girl--a girl who by all accounts should have never been mine in the first place. I always believed the mafia would be my end game--where I'd lose my heart, while it claimed my soul. I could have never imagined. It would be my redemption. Or the beginning of something beautiful. The beginning of her. The end of us.

Everywhere and Every Way (Billionaire Builders, #1)Everywhere and Every Way by Jennifer Probst
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Everywhere & Every Way is the first book in a new Jennifer Probst series, Billionaire Builders. This series is about three brothers who have been estranged as adults until things drastically change within their family. The three brothers decide to put their differenced aside to save their family business, Pierce Brothers Construction.

Each book in the series features a different brother. Everywhere & Every Way features the eldest brother, Caleb Pierce.
#TheGrumpyOne

I am not even sure of my feelings on this book. I should first say that I have never really been a huge Jennifer Probst fan. I have read her Marriage to a Billionaire series and have enjoyed it but didn't love it. I kind of feel the same way about Everywhere & Every Way.

In Everywhere & Every Way, we are introduced to the Pierce family through Caleb Pierce. He is the oldest of the Pierce brothers. He is also the closest to his father. He co-runs Pierce Brothers Construction with his father until a tragic event changed everything for both Caleb and his two brothers, Dalton and Tristan.

Caleb, Dalton & Tristan are forced to work together for one year at Pierce Brothers Construction and turn a profit. If they are unable to do that, they will lose the company. Caleb cannot even imagine that as a possibility. Pierce Brothers Construction has been his life. He is willing to do anything to keep it running. Even if that means working with his brothers who have basically not been around for the entirety of their adult life. Dalton & Tristan are not so sure of this plan. In the end they agree to try.

Working together brings on so many issues. Not only can they not agree on things professionally, but emotionally there are old wounds that open up for all of them Can they overcome their challenges in order to save Pierce Brothers Construction?

Enters Morgan Raines. She is a top designer for the rich and famous. She has been asked to build a house for a couple filming a movie in Harrington. She wants and needs the best. She has her sights set on Pierce Brothers Construction. She will stop at nothing to have them build Mr & Mrs Rosenthal's house. I LOVED Morgan. She is the glue that brings the brothers together.

One thing that loved about Morgan was how she gave as good as she got. She is this southern belle who is completely underestimated in a man's world (construction). She goes to a job site in her fashion clothes with her pink nail polish sporting her pink work boots and pink tools. She completely throws Caleb off of his game! He is so taken by her he can't think straight.

The dynamics between Caleb & Morgan were what made the story for me. I loved their push and pull. They were each other's equal in all ways.

I will say that I thought that Everywhere & Every Way was long! It was a little over 6 hours long. If you love Jennifer Probst's writing, then you will love that! I like her writing, not love so it was a little much for me. That being said, I am hooked on this series so I will now have to read Any Time and Any Place for Daltons story (release date - January 2017).

Thank you Jennifer for allowing me to read Everywhere & Every Way prior to its release. I am glad to have had the chance to be re-introduced to your writing after not reading it for awhile. I will exploring more of your series in the near future.

Wicked Love (Wicked White #3)Wicked Love by Michelle A. Valentine
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

**** 4 Wickedly Sexy Stars ****

I will be completely honest, the Wicked White series has not been my favorite series of Michelle's. I will say that I enjoyed all three books thus far, they simply have not captured me and got me invested in the characters like many of Michelle's other series.

With Wicked Love, I have to say that again I was not captured or invested in Avery or Tyler until the end...

In Wicked Love we get finally get Wicked White's drummer, Tyler Mercer's love story. I will say that I loved Tyler, until I didn't.... He was what every girl wants in a caring boyfriend until he walks away from the love of his life, Avery Jenson, to follow his dream of becoming a musician. The night that everything when "up in flames". I found their back-story very slow. I even had to put the book down for a few days. I love Michelle's writing so much that I knew that I needed to have faith that my feeling would turn around. I was right.

"... now I totally get why Adam gave in to Eve and sinned. If he was attracted to her half as much as I am to you, there's no wonder that he risked God's wrath to be with her."
~ Michelle A. Valentine, Wicked Love (Wicked White #3)

We fast forward three years.... Tyler is now the drummer for Wicked White, one of the top bands around. Wicked White's lead singer goes off the grid and it gives all of the guys of Wicked White time to do.... absolutely nothing.....

Tyler decided to goes back to his hometown. He ends up seeing Avery again. He realizes that his feelings for Avery have not changed. But because of his decision to run away, things may never be the same for them.

This is the part of the story that captured me. I loved how things came full circle for Avery and Tyler. I feel like I need to leave it at that. I would be giving too much away.

"... When he told me to go out and find my dream, I don't think that he could've ever possibly known that my dream as going to come into this town and find me."
~ Michelle A. Valentine, Wicked Love (Wicked White #3)

I know that I am not giving a lot of details in this review (rare for me...), but I feel like if I did, you would probably not pick up Wicked Love and read it. It's a simple book of Tyler and Avery's love. Although there where parts that were hard for me to get into, I would recommend it if you are a White Wicked fan. You will love the ending!

"Avery - she's my destiny. There are too many times fate has brought us together, and I can no longer deny that she is my dream and this is exactly where I'm supposed to be."
~ Michelle A. Valentine, Wicked Love (Wicked White #3)

Thank you Michelle for trusting me with Wicked Love to read and review prior to release day. I hope that people love Tyler & Avery's story. Congratulations on anther release.

Dirty Love (Dirty Girl Duet Book 2)Dirty Love by Meghan March
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

5 Steamy and Sexy Stars!!!!
Reviewed by Franci Neill

Just when I thought Meghan March had written her dirtiest book ever, I was wrong. Dirty Love tops Dirty Girl and I loved every single page of this consuming love story. Because in reality, that's what this story is about...Greer and Cav's overwhelming and hard fought love story.

When Dirty Girl ends, we're all shocked by the secret that is revealed. Obviously, I'm not saying what it is, just in case you haven't yet read Dirty Girl...which if you haven't, get on that immediately!!! This nugget of knowledge changes EVERYTHING for Greer and what she believes and was hoping her future would be. Just because she didn't know this info, Cav has no intentions of letting her go that easily. He has a plan and he executes it perfectly!!! Let's just say, it involves restraints and a duffel bag!!!

As Cav puts his plan into motion and Greer wonders what's going to happen going forward and whether she can trust him, once she has the story of the why's...
'"What are we doing?" I whisper the question in an unsteady tone. "Working on having something beautiful." ....."You have to fight through the darkness to appreciate the beauty in the light.....If it were easy, would it be as special?"'
If I didn't already like and was in love and lust with Cav, that right there sent me over the Cavanaugh ledge and I'm a fan for life!! He still has this misguided notion that he's now able to give her the life she's grown up with and again my heart ached for him and how he felt about himself for all those years leading up to this point in their relationship....
"Pride is a dangerous thing, but when it's all you've got, it's everything."
The further I got in the book, the more I wanted of this love story that has to have an HEA right? Just as there were in Dirty Girl, this book is rife with some incredibly hot and dare I say dirty sex between these two. Greer gave as good as she got and Cav loved every word that came out of her mouth and every move she made....
"You're goddamn perfect Greer. That filthy little mouth of yours is going to get you fucked like the dirty girl you are."
Cue the fan being turned on as what follows had me heating up like a fire cracker on the 4th of July!!! Along with all the steam between Greer and Cav, her BFF, Banner is ever present in this book two and I swear that she just gets better and better with everything she says and does. I literally snort-laughed during one exchange between the two of them when discussing something that happened between Greer and Cav and Banner told her she's adding it to her sexual bucket list....
"You have a sexual bucket list? And you keep it updated? I'm not sure which surprises me more.....Goals only become real possibilities once you write them down."
As Greer gets more enmeshed in Cav's life in California, she sees a different side of him and what the possibilities of what they could have together including all the Hollywood glamour that comes with being who Cav is. I especially loved this part of the book as I think this was one of the best sex scenes I've ever read and I could SO see it happening in that setting!

Don't get me wrong, there are still issues that need to be worked out especially when Greer finds out why Cav walked away three years ago and she has to decide if she can live with that knowledge. This is where the book gets really interesting as we get some facts and surprises that had me sitting there gasping with surprise.

In closing, all I have to say is if you want a book that has a made for Hollywood love story, with two people are meant to be together that have some of the best sex I've read about, then this book and this Duet is for you. I have a feeling when you finish the book, you too will be saying, I FUCKING LOVED THIS DIRTY, DIRTY BOOK!!!!

Right now, I just want Cav. I might still want to kill him later, but not right this moment. I suck his finger into my mouth, laving it with my tongue and lips and dragging lightly down it with my teeth. As we hurtle down the runway, I make promises to him with my eyes. Take the restraints off or don’t; I’m still going to want you. Cav reaches out with his other hand and cups my breast, covered only by the soft material of my thin T-shirt. Chill bumps prickle along my skin when his fingers close around my nipple and twist. A moan escapes my lips, and I press into his touch. We say nothing until the captain announces that we’ve reached our cruising altitude. Cav removes his seat belt and mine before hauling me back onto his lap. “Jesus Christ, woman. Feel what you did to me.” He presses his hips up and against me, and I wiggle my ass against his cock’s solid length. “I want it.” “Good, because I’m going to lower you onto your knees, unzip my pants, and help you take it down your throat. And then I’m going to lift you up on my lap and slide your pussy down my cock until you’re full of me.” His dirty talk kills me every time. “What are you waiting for?” I ask, my tone taking on a seductive depth. “Need to taste you again first.” His lips crush to mine, and his tongue dives inside without waiting for invitation. Cav kisses like he does everything else—throwing his whole self into it. His hand is buried in my hair, tilting my head the way he likes. I moan into his mouth, loving the urgency radiating from him. Finally, he pulls my head back, his eyes greener than before. “On your knees, baby girl.” I nod as he helps me to the floor, the plush carpeting cushioning my position. Cav unzips his jeans and fists his cock as he pulls it out. As I lean forward, my hair falls around my face, but with my bound hands, I’m helpless to pull it back. Cav wraps one hand around the tangled strands and clenches it behind my head. I’m at his mercy, and yet I’ve never felt more powerful. The need in his eyes burns into me, and I want to give as much as I want to take.         dirty duet 3

Desperately seeking rich, famous, single guy with a giant cock to make my lying, cheating, should’ve-been-born-dickless ex-boyfriend realize what he’s just lost.

Oh, and I give great head. Just sayin’.

DG AMAZONNo man in his right mind would answer that ad.

Except thousands did.

My name is Greer Karas, and I should never be allowed near another bottle of booze again. Because when I drink, my friend and I do stupid things. Like take a page out of my older brother Creighton’s playbook and post something completely asinine on the Internet. Waking up with a giant hangover to find my humiliating personal ad has gone viral is not my finest moment.

Cue my look of shock when one of Hollywood’s hottest new bad boys, Cavanaugh Westman, comes knocking at my door and drops his pants to prove that he does indeed have a giant cock.

What he doesn’t have is an explanation for why he disappeared from my life without a word three years ago, only to show up on the big screen two years later, killing bad guys in action flicks.

And now he wants me again.

What the hell do I do now?

“Look,” I pinched the bridge of my nose, trying to form a rational sentence. “What I’m saying is…” then I was struck by pure brilliance, “…I should screen every single likely candidate so I can run a full background check for any felonies or Class A misdemeanors.”
Ignoring my perfectly reasonable suggestion, Chloe spoke up, “And the next time you want to pick up a woman at the Moose and take her home for a roll in the hay, I’ll expect you to call me first so I can come down and administer a blood test, you know,” she smiled sweetly, even though I could see the evil behind it, “for safety reasons.”
“That’s not the same thing,” I argued.
“Oh, I’ve got to hear this,” Harlow laughed. “And why, exactly, is it different for you than it is for Chloe?”
“Because I’m a man,” I answered instantly, regretting the words that came out of my mouth as soon as they passed my lips. “Wait! No — that’s not what I meant to say. What I meant is — I’m bigger. I’ve got more muscles. I can defend myself if need be.”
“I’ll have you know, I’ve been taking weekly self-defense classes for the past four years. I’m more than capable of defending myself.”
And because I was clearly on a roll with all the stupid, I laughed. “Pfft, not likely. You’re a pixie for Christ’s sake.”
I barely got the last word out when I was suddenly choking on my own tongue, unable to take a proper breath as the kitchen floor came at my face at a startling pace only to be stopped by the force of something slamming into my chest, deflating both my lungs and sending me careening backward.
I gasped for air as I writhed on the floor in pain. “What—” I wheezed. “What just—” I sucked in a breath, getting nowhere near enough oxygen in my collapsed lungs, “happened?”
“You just got your ass handed to you by a girl!” Noah hooted before collapsing in a fit of uncontrollable laughter. “Oh God! You should have…” he stopped to wipe a tear from his eye, “…you should have seen your face! Classic! That was classic! Chloe, do it again so I can record it this time.”
As I lay on the kitchen floor, dying, I cursed Noah Murphy. I had no friends.
